File Clerk Internship Opportunity

We invite you to take advantage of our file clerk internship opportunity. This is a temporary internship position with our personal injury law firm based in Sacramento. This can be a full-time or part-time position.

The ideal candidate is confident, knowledgeable about the law, and possesses great organizational skills.  Legal research knowledge is a plus. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work well under tight deadlines is crucial.

Primary responsibilities include: data entry, scanning and copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.

Secondary responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining client files – creating and organizing files, updating files for changes in status
2. Closing files- preparing files for transfer to offsite storage
3. Assisting professional legal staff with administrative projects as requested

This is a non-paid internship. However, it provides valuable work experience for a person who is anxious to get real-life law firm experience in a friendly and challenging environment. We also offer our interns a letter of recommendation from our principal attorney upon successful internship completion.
