There’s another situation in which the person that caused the collision and injured you may not have enough insurance to cover all your damages, and that’s called under-insured motorist coverage. So if you have uninsured motorist coverage let’s say for fifty thousand dollars and your damages are worth fifty thousand dollars and the other person only has a policy, a liability policy, that covers up to fifteen thousand dollars, you would have an additional thirty-five thousand dollars in uninsured motorist coverage.
