Yes. Unlike pedestrians, who have the right of way, bicyclists must follow the same rules of the road as automobiles and other motor vehicles. Sometimes, bicyclists fail to follow these rules and an accident results. However, just because the bicyclist may have violated a traffic law does not necessarily confer full fault for the accident.
