Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by supporting the runners at the Sacramento Shamrock Half Marathon

If you are looking for a great place to be this St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, try the 10th Annual Blue Diamond Almonds Shamrock’n Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids’ Run that will be held in Sacramento this weekend. Demas Law Group, P.C., attorney Jacqueline Siemens will represent the firm by participating in the half marathon portion of the race.

“I am excited about the opportunity not only to have a great time at this run but also to support some very worthy causes,” says Jacqueline, and it is no wonder: she has a long history of both running and philanthropic work to her credit, making her a perfect fit for Demas Law Group, P.C.!

Jacqueline Siemens graduated from Lincoln Law School in 2007 and began her career as a defense attorney for medical professionals and trucking companies. Her experiences on the “other side of the aisle” make her particularly qualified to practice plaintiff’s law now, and these days she devotes her time to advocacy for the victims of all types of personal injury accidents. Jacqueline has real compassion for accident victims, and this caring attitude spills over into her personal pursuits and passions, as well.

When she is not practicing law, Jacqueline enjoys sports such as volleyball and, of course, running. She especially enjoys the chance to combine her passion for running with her love of charitable causes. Jacqueline is an avid dog rescuer, and also supports other worthy causes. As part of Demas Law Group, P.C.’s staff, she enjoys the supportive atmosphere around the office for philanthropic work. Demas Law Group, P.C., encourages employees to participate in all types of activities related to charitable organizations, so this makes Jacqueline’s participation in the Shamrock Run even more exciting.

“The great thing about the Shamrock Run is its focus on fitness for all ages and types of people,” she says. “The run supports Project Fit, a free after-school running program, and the Triumph Cancer Foundation, a program that supports adult cancer victims in reclaiming physical fitness after their cancer treatment. I am honored to run for such great causes and to use one of my favorite activities as a way to raise money for these programs.”

The Shamrock Run half-marathon begins at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, at Raley Field in West Sacramento. The 5K begins on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and the Kid’s Fun Run starts at 9:45 a.m. Massage Envy will also sponsor a Recovery Zone with free massages for all participants!

The Shamrock Run half-marathon will also feature several great bands to liven things up and keep the party atmosphere going. These bands include Musical Charis, Basket House, Dynamic Fuzz Bomb, The Four Eyes, Ugly Bunny, the Pikeys, Freebadge Serenaders, The Kimberly Trip, Rebel Punk, The Westwards, Cove, The Broken Voice Club, Exquisite Corps and Walking Spanish. These bands will provide a diverse selection of tunes for the entertainment of spectators and participants alike. The entire event is sponsored in part by Fleet Feet Sports, a Sacramento retailer of fine sporting goods, as well as Nunn, Brooks, Killian’s and, of course, Blue Diamond Almonds.
