The competition begins with a public nomination period, followed by an official online voting period. For the 2026 contest, community voting is open from July 20 through August 7, 2026, giving Sacramento-area residents the opportunity to support the businesses they believe represent the very best of the region. Voting takes place online through the official Sacramento Favorites ballot.
